Products, Comtec and Santana recommend the following procedures which
have been used successfully maintaining "Evertuff" and
"Hiny Hider" stalls
"Hiny Hider"and "Evertuff" (HDPE)
products are cost effective in terms of both the initial purchase and
on-going maintenance. They never require painting, are easy to clean and
scratches and stains can be removed or repaired in most cases. Since
there are always exceptions, we thus cannot guarantee complete removal of
all scratches or graffiti. Remember, UPKEEP + REGULAR MAINTENANCE = LONG
LASTING PARTITIONS.
Graffiti
such as spray paint, lipstick, most markers, etc, can be removed with
common industrial strength liquid cleaners. Do not use an abrasive
cleanser on the material. We have available a product called
"Graffiti Gobbler" that will successfully attack most markers.
Many of our customers use this product daily. A sample can be sent for
your use upon request.
To
achieve maximum success when cleaning graffiti from a surface, one must
apply the cleaner immediately. Daily preventative maintenance can and
will lead to lasting beauty and performance. A periodic application of a
Protectant such as "Armorall ®" will enhance the shine and
appearance of HDPE.
Do not attempt to sand cuts or scratches on the material. These can be
repaired, but not completely removed, by using a smooth rounded object
and burnishing the surface by applying pressure in a firm downward
motion. Remember, if cuts and scratches are left exposed for long periods
of time between maintenance schedules. Clean the scratch with Graffiti
Remover before burnishing the material. The characteristics of our HDPE
will not change; however, the appearance of the surface will. Water,
urine or cleaning detergents will not alter HDPE in any manner...and your
Comtec partitions will never need painting.
