Pricing is done on a per job basis. You should
count the number of stalls you need and if possible
draw a sketch plan of your restroom. When this is
done you can fax your request to SOS. A consultant
will contact you and also forward your request the

Glossary
Of Terms
- Accessible:
Refers to stalls suitable for use for people with
disabilities
- ADA:
Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Alcove:
A stall layout that has the door on the side rather
than the front.
- Anchor:
Plug used to secure screw at floor or wall locations.
- Backing:
Framed in support at bracket locations to provide
support for partitions.
- Between
Wall: A stall layout that has one or more stalls
in a row between two walls.
- Ceiling
Hung: Compartment system that is attached to ceiling
and walls.
- Clean
Look: Screw heads not visible on the outside faces
of the toilet stall. Through bolts are not used
on stall fronts.
- Coat-hook/Bumper:
Metal hook with rubber bumper mounted to inside
of door.
- Continuous
Strike: Latch side pilaster routed to stop door.
Eliminates gap and providing privacy used with
no-sight option.
- Continuous
Wall Bracket: Used to connect panels to walls
and pilasters. Full height of panel providing
strength and privacy. Preferably made from plastic
to avoid corrosion.
- End
Cap: (see Head Rail End Cap).
- Door
Stop: Metal and rubber bumper mounted to wall,
door or panel to prevent opening door damaging
walls or panels.
- Filler
Strip: Used behind continuous wall brackets where
tile prevents continuous wall attachment.
- Floor
Mounted Over Head Braced (FMOB): Compartment system
that has pilasters attached to the floor and connected
across the tops with headrail. The standard system.
- Floor
to Ceiling (FTC): Stall configuration that has
pilasters attached to the floor and ceiling.
- HC
Stall: Term that used to be used to denote accessible
stall.
- Head
Rail: The horizontal support that connects the
top of Pilasters in the Floor Mounted Overhead
Braced configuration. Made from Heavy duty Aluminum
with an 'Anti-Grip' detail at the top edge.
- Head
Rail Bracket: Stainless steel bracket that is
to connect headrail to walls and pilasters.
- Head
Rail End Cap: Aluminum detail that covers exposed
headrail ends.
- Heat
Sinc: Aluminum strip that runs the full length
of panels and doors on plastic partitions.
- High
Density Polyethylene (HDPE): Compression molded
Plastic that is used for Panels, Pilasters and
Doors.
- In
Corner: Stall lay out that has one or more compartments
beginning in one corner of a room.
- Inswing:
Door that opens into the compartment.
- Integral
Hinge: Hinge system consisting of nylon cams top
and bottom of door pivoting in rebated pilasters.
- Keeper:
(see strike)
- Laminate:
Different materials glued or pressed together.
- Latch:
Door hardware used to hold door closed. Slide
type recommended for accessibility.
- Metal:
Partition material made from steel that is painted
or powder coated.
- No-Sight:
Door and pilaster system that eliminates gaps
at stall fronts, providing increased privacy.
- Outswing:
Door that opens out from the compartment.
- Panel:
Fixed dividing section between pilasters, standard
height of 55 inches and mounted 14 inches off
the floor.
- Panel
Bracket: Bracket used to secure panel to wall.
- Phenolic:
Partition material consisting of resin between
thin layers of colored surface material.
- Pilaster:
Vertical member supporting doors and panels.
- Pilaster
Bracket: Bracket used to secure panel to pilaster.
- Plastic
Laminate: Partition material consisting of different
materials glued or pressed together.
- Poly-Blend:
Compartment system that utilizes different colored
panels, doors or pilasters for effect.
- Poly-Granite:
Plastic Color range of stone like tones and patterns.
- Poly-Mar:
Plastic Color range of solid tones.
- Poly-Marble:
Plastic Color range of blended tones in marble
like swirls or patterns.
- Sex
Bolt: Stainless steel Through-bolt consisting
of a male and female piece. Used for strong connection.
Theft proof head prevents removal of bolt.
- Sight
Screen: Wall and pilaster supported panel used
block view into a restroom when exterior door
is opened.
- Shoe:
Sleeve that covers pilaster connections at floor
and ceiling. Made from Plasticor
Stainless steel.
- Stirrup
Bracket: (see 3 Clip Bracket)
- Strike:
Hardware element that door swings closed against.
- Surface
Mount: Connection for door where pilaster is not
available and wall must be used for either strike
or hinge.
- 3
Clip Bracket: Connecting hardware made from aluminum
installed top, center and bottom of panel.
- Through
Bolt: (see sex bolt).
- Title
24: California's Accessibility Code.
Torx Head: Type of theft resistant screw head,
requiring a special tool to remove.
- Urinal
Screen: Wall mounted panel used between urinals.
Must be used between urinal and hand sink. Standard
height 42 inches and either 18 or 24 inches deep.
- Wall
Bracket: Connecting hardware used for pilasters
and panels at walls. Made from Plastic (recommended)
or Aluminum.
- Wall
Hung: Panel supported at wall only. Common urinal
screen layout.
- Wrap
Around Hinge: Aluminum type hinge bolted to edge
of door and side of pilaster. Superceded by Integral
Hinge.
- Zamac:
Alloy metal commonly used for door hardware items
such as door pulls and coat hook.
